25 November 2022. Harvest supper of creamy chicken and butternut squash casserole (or vegetarian option of Persian Stew), served with jacket potato and mixed leaf salad followed by pudding/cake made with apples. This dessert was for the Produce Cup and was won by Yvonne Allison.

Wednesday 20 July 2022 it was a bit cooler than the previous two days and seven of us walked from Hinxton to Ickleton and back, via Hinxton Water Mill. It was a lovely walk and we finished up in the Red Lion for a delicious lunch
Sunday 17 July 2022 it was the WI BBQ. This was held in Tony Smith's garden and the bottom area was cool and inviting. There were plenty of salads and puddings and Tony Smith and Tony Hore were our chefs. Highlight of the event was the ladder placed against the bottom wall for everyone to check out the new build next door..!!
Friday 29 April 2022 we finally planted our centenary tree on the Rec - Sorbus Sunshine - planted by our President Liz Hodgkins
28 April 2022 our speaker was Shirley Scotcher from Deaf Blind UK and Liz Houghton and Joyce Dobson were brave enough to volunteer to make a sandwich - wearing ear defenders and an eye mask - well done you two.

Saturday 12 December 2020 the committee assembled at St Andrew’s Church to hand out cyclamen, Christmas cards and mince pies to members. It was lovely to see so many members and have a good, socially distant, chat.

5 March 2020 - our birthday meeting was a jolly event. We had cake and prosecco to celebrate and our longest standing member, Kay Coe, cut the cake along with our President, Liz Hodgkins. We also had a 'secret' raffle in aid of Associated Country Women of the World.

Saturday 8 September we held a Back to School Pudding Evening at the newly refurbished Johnson Hall. We had Manchester Tart, Chocolate Puddle Pudding, Spotted Dick, Eve's Pudding, Apple Crumble, Jelly and Evaporated Milk and Bakewell Tart, with lashings of cream and custard - and Prosecco.

23 June 2018 Stapleford WI Mug Tombola stall at the Stapleford Village Weekend event. Members filled 154 mugs with assorted delights.
Good start to 2018 with a merry band of walkers hitting the streets of Cambridge on a lovely sunny 23 January. The unusual gates are at the back of the cricket ground Fenners.
2 November 2017 our harvest celebration was enjoyed by our Members. Yvonne Allison won the Produce Cup for her delicious Bakewell Tart.
27 October 2017 was a beautiful sunny morning for collecting litter from the streets of Stapleford, followed by coffee and cake at a nearby Member's home.
18 September 2017 we walked along the River Cam at Clayhithe. The weather was perfect, for a change!

Stapleford Village Weekend. The WI hosted the Sunday 25 June 2017 evening. Music was provided by the popular Djangophonix and the WI provided delicious salads, ham and of course desserts. A fun evening was had by all.
WI Walk at Trumpington Commons Country Park on Tuesday 9 May 2017. Lovely walk and not a drop of rain..! Lots of wood carvings and thousands of brown tail moth caterpillars.

Harvest Supper, 3 November 2016
Lead by Janet Latimer, Stapleford WI has participated in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Living Memory project, which remembers the 'forgotten front' - the 300,000 war graves and commemorations right here in the UK. These are the before and after photos of the grave of Ada Sillitoe, who was in the Women's Royal Air Force and died on 8 November 1918. Ada is buried in St Mary's church in Great Shelford.
After the long, hot, summer, on 16 September 2016 the walking group is still smiling in spite of the inclement weather. We did a short stroll around Trumpington Meadows Country Park and Byron's Pool. We are planning to return in the spring.
Stapleford WI have been knitting 'twiddlemuffs'. So far over 100 have been delivered to Addenbrookes Hospital. This is the latest batch to be delivered.
Lovely, warm, walk at Anglesey Abbey, lead by Member Rose Humberstone, who is a volunteer gardener at the Abbey. Check out Mary and Janet trying out the new 'Sky Garden'.
In April 2016, Alison Giles from the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, gave us an introduction to the First World War. Members were persuaded to model the hats.

Another litter picking outing. This time it was 'Clean for the Queen' on 5 March 2016. It actually snowed just before we set out. Don't we look cold, but at least we have our own hi-vis vests.
In March 2016, Helen and Alison, sisters who own the beauty salon Waterlilies demonstrated make-up techniques on Jennifer Jones. Waterlillies have been in Stapleford for 10 years. Jennifer was transformed before our eyes.
Fundraising evening, held at the Pavilion in Stapleford. A fashion show by Goldings of Newmarket, with 50% of funds raised going towards a defibrillator for the village.
The walking group membership is growing and on a bright, freezing cold day in January 2016 we did a circular walk in North Cambridge.
